National Park City Open Day 2018
On a sunny Saturday, July 21st, the Railway Garden took part in London's first ever National Park City Week. The week long initiative - promoted by the Mayor of London - took place from 21-29 July 2018.
Our garden was one of over 280 events taking place across London during the week, organised by over 130 community groups.
We had a packed day of activities assisted by local partners and others including:
- Storytelling workshop for kids - ‘Wild about Oak’ with The Baring Trust as part of their outdoor learning programme.
 - Butterfly identification with May Webber, a local butterfly and moth expert.
 - An 'Art In Nature' Workshop with Pencilyouin.art, where kids made Fairy Dust Pouches.
 - And a special Sensory Flavour Tour with Favour Sense Nation, taking us on an amazing discovery of how our flavour perception is affected by our senses.
