Tasting and Growing Edible Flowers

Plant and Share Month celebrates growing your own. From 19 April – 19 May, Food for Life Get Togethers called on the nation to get growing and sharing their produce with their communities. Together with Wild Rangers, we held two Plant and Share workshops at the Railway Garden. On the 23rd of April we grew micro-greens, part of our Earth Day celebrations with Crofton Park Community Library. Today we tasted lots of different edible flowers, guessing what plant they might be from and describing their tastes. The children then sowed some nasturtium seeds to take home. Thank you to everyone who participated!
